My World reaching your World!

Reading to my little man! 🥰🐾

Today I was sitting on the couch quietly thinking about my book being read by parents to their children, whether it is an every day occurrence or a bedtime story that a child has picked out amongst the rest of their books as their favourite!

The thought of hearing a parent reading the story to their little ones, like all the stories I use to read to my sons when they were young. The stories I have read to my own grandchildren when we get together come to mind as well!

It really thrills me to imagine this happening in houses that have purchased their copy of The World Of Bugsy & Taz! To be able to hear this story being read would be so amazing! Like a song writer who hears an audience singing their words, an painter whose piece hangs on someone else’s wall to be admired, a film maker who experiences their movie being enjoyed by audience members, anyone who admires and enjoys any creators work of love, this experience for the artist is amazing!

I am so very grateful that close to 200 copies are being enjoyed throughout different parts of the world and that my story, my creation and my hard work has reached out to those children and adults alike!

What a ride this is and what a ride it will continue to be!! Thank you to those again for taking us into your World to read time and time again!

World prediction

Just as he predicted!!

I have a little story to tell you about this picture and why it is so important to share with you!!!

Just soon after my book was published a year and a half ago, my dear supportive and cheering section brother, Greg, and I were walking around this very Indigo store looking at the children’s section and I was dreaming of a vision of my book being there with all the other wonderful children’s book author! The sales associate came up to us as we approached the front of the store and asked us if we needed help, and my brother, who has done this most of my life, in his biggest voice stated to her…” No thank you we are just checking things out because one day my sister’s book is going to be in this store …right there!!!” Anyone who knows my brother knows his booming voice carries!! I felt my cheeks turn red but I was so proud of his confidence and his belief in me to make this huge statement!!! The sales associate giggled and said, “ oh yeah, maybe one day!” My brother turned to me and laughed and said to her, “ yep she is going to be a famous author!!!” I gave him the biggest hug in the middle of that store and here I am today staring at MY BOOK in THAT store and remembering his prediction that day!! Thank you for always believing in me and supporting me little brother! ❤️🥰🐾

Today as I was walking around our mall, I walked into the Indigo bookstore that I will be doing a book signing in, March 18th and I saw this to my absolutely delight!!! Our World available at that very store, sitting there amongst the others, just waiting to be purchased by a lucky young reader!!!

I got to where I wanted to get to and now everything that comes to me now will to be the sweetest icing on the wonderful cake!!!!

I hope to see copies at other stores soon, and I am working very hard to make this happen! If you see a copy out there, please pick one up for a special young reader in your life!!!

Small town World

Arrived for signing event
I love this place!
All set up!

Today was the third signing of a mini signing tour in the beautiful little town of Wakefield, Quebec! The owner of the B&B, Auberge de Mon Petit Chum, Dawn, was so very gracious to host my event!

I sold a few books, met a fellow local author whose collaboration with a few of her fellow local fellow authors wrote a book, caught up with an old friend and relaxed in this amazing town.

If you ever have the chance to stay in Wakefield, see if you can book a stay at this quaint B&B and experience it for yourself!

As this is Black history month, and a valuable reason to why I wrote The World of Bugsy & Taz, I am proud of my black heritage and the life my grandfather lead as a black man in Montreal working as a porter for CN Railways

These photos are excerpts of a great documentary called “The Road Taken”, which you can find through the National Film Board of Canada, featuring some footage of my Daddy Jim!
